Eastern Tech 3, Varsity Softball 2

From Coach Radcliffe:

The Perry Hall Lady Gators put up a valiant fight against #1 ranked Eastern Tech, but it wasn’t enough as the Mavericks eeked out a 3-2 victory.  Miranda Lobus held the dangerous ET lineup in check with the help of outstanding defense from nearly every player on the field.  Lobus tried to help win it with her bat as well, leading off the 5th with a booming triple to left, but she was left stranded.  The Gators finally broke through in the sixth, as Cierra Poole walked, and Hannah Lewis followed with a hot smash off the pitcher for an infield hit.  After a nice sacrifice bunt from Brooke Powers, Britney Kingery ripped a basehit to plate Poole.  Lobus then followed with a line drive to center to score Lewis making it 3-2.  But the rally, and the Gator hopes, ended soon after.
