Varsity Boys’ Basketball Defeats Kenwood

From Coach Caccavalla:

The Gators swamped Kenwood 73-61 on Friday night.  In a scoring frenzy, Shawn Bayne, Trent McCallum, Lawrence Pettis, and Chris Osuji all shot above 50% in the win.  Devron Dickens came off the bench and immediately knocked down a three.

Team play along with gritty man to man defense chomped away at Kenwood as they fought for survival.

Dante Green led in rebounds, Trent McCallum led in steals, and Lawrence Pettis led in assists as PH had 20 assists and 20 steals.  Kenwood did not know who the key member was when they tried to shut down our team as each player such as Ryan Lott, Wanyae Banks and Cecil Brooks contributed valuable minutes in this victory.

Alumni Basketball and Cheerleading Night

From Coach Hruz:

Calling all Perry Hall boys basketball, girls basketball, and cheerleading alumni athletes and coaches!!!

I wanted to pass on this information from Perry Hall. We are currently in our 50th year and celebrating that by having several events during the year.

I wanted to let all of you know about the Perry Hall Alumni Salute taking place on Friday, January 24th, 2014 in the gym.

We are asking for all of the past boys and girls basketball players and any past cheerleaders at Perry Hall to come out and be recognized. This will be a lot of fun and a great opportunity to get caught up with some old friends.

If you are able to make it, this is how it will work. You can report to a table that will be set up in the Fine Arts Lobby and marked Alumni Night. There you will sign in (name, #, year graduated). Then you will receive a ticket to get into the game. At halftime the PA will call you out to the court and read off everyone’s name, position, and year.

I am hopeful that you will be able to make it! And please pass this message around and encourage others to attend.

The boys’ game starts at 5:30 PM while the girls’ game is scheduled to begin at 7 PM. The alumni players will be introduced during half time of their respective games while the cheerleaders will be introduced between the games.
