Varsity Baseball Defeats Towson

From Coach Carlineo:

Perry Hall improves to 5 – 2 with a 14-4 win over Towson.

Ben Libercci pitched 6 innings of 2 hit baseball. Jake Chavis shut the door in the 7th.

The Gator offense was lead by Josh Benzing and Andrew Yu with 3 RBI’s.
Corey Johnson and Tyler Pusloski each had multiple hit games. Josh Benzing hit a 2 run homer.

JV Baseball Falls to Catonsville 11-1

March 30 – Perry Hall 19, Bel Air 8
March 31 – Catonsville 11, Perry Hall 1

Before their first loss of the season to Catonsville yesterday, the Gators JV Baseball team defeated Bel Air 19 to 8.  In a game with many walks for both teams, the gators tight defense helped them win a game where they were out hit 11-9.  Providing hits for the gators were Rex Marshall, Kevin Cramer, Kennard Gardner, Wendell Williams, and Kendall Gardner.  The team will look to bring their record to 4 and 1 as they travel to Dulaney on Thursday.gatorchompcolor.jpg

JV Baseball Defeats Loch Raven

From Coach Miller:

On Wednesday, the gators JV Baseball team defeated Loch Raven by a score of 16 to 4.  After falling behind 4 to 1, the Gators narrowed the lead to 4-3, then broke the game open in the 4th  scoring 13 runs.  Noah Supensky led the team with 3 hits, Brett Mason and Wendell Williams each had 2 hits, and Kendall Gardner, Trevor Rogers, and Rex Marshall each had 1 hit.  Center fielder Noah Supensky combined with relay men Kendall Gardner and Rex Marshall to throw out runners at third and home preventing Loch Raven from adding to their lead.  Catcher Trevor Rogers threw out the only runner attempting to steal second base.  Rex Marshall pitched 4 solid innings letting up 2 earned runs while giving up only 4 hits.  Kendall Gardner closed out the fifth inning with two strikeouts.  Great job all around boys.  The team will look to go 3 and 0 on Friday versus Hereford.

JV Baseball Defeats Patapsco

Patapsco 0

The Gators JV Baseball team opened their season on Monday with an 18 to 0 victory over Patapsco.  The Gators batted around twice in the first inning dropping 16 runs on the Patriots.  The bulk of the damage was done by Noah Supensky with 4 RBI’s, Kendall Gardiner and Trevor Rogers with 3 RBI’s each.  Others contributing with hits were Cole France, Kevin Cramer, Brett Mason, Rex Marshall, and Glenn Dargan.  Patapsco’s bats were silent due to a dominating performance by Kevin Cramer who struck out 7 while allowing no hits over 4 innnings.  Glenn Dargan finished off Patapsco with just 4 pitches in the fifth.  A great game was had by all.  The team is on the road Wednesday at Loch Raven.

Varsity Boys’ Soccer Defeats Eastern Tech

Perry Hall 4   Eastern Tech  1

Connor Gwin scored two goals, both off of assists from Colin Weyant, to lead the Gators over Eastern Tech.  Andrew Yu opened the scoring in the first half off of a cross by Justin Spencer to give the Gators a 1-0 lead.  Jack Muller added a fourth goal with 12 minutes remaining.  The Gators finish their regular season at 9-3-1.
